Black Sesame Oat Drink Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1 cup oat milk (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup oats (for added creaminess)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Ice cubes (optional for a chilled version)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the Sesame Seeds: In a small pan, toast the black sesame seeds over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until they release a nutty aroma. Let them cool slightly.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, add the toasted black sesame seeds, oat milk, honey or maple syrup, oats, vanilla extract (if using), and water. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Strain (Optional): For a smoother texture, you can strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
  4. Serve: Pour the black sesame oat drink into a glass. Add ice cubes for a refreshing version, or warm it up on the stove for a cozy drink.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle a few black sesame seeds on top or add a dusting of oats for extra texture.
